Toronto, October 5, 2017 - Kira Systems announced today that the company has completed its SOC2, Type 1 reporting certification attesting to the security of Kira and providing customers with assurance about the security, availability, and confidentiality of the systems used to process their data. The independent audit was conducted by Richter LLP, one of the largest and most recognized independent consulting firms in Canada.

As more organizations adopt cloud-based technology, third-party certifications provide assurances that the service providers are well-equipped, from management policies to technical competency, to be trusted with handling secure information. The SOC2 certification earned by Kira Systems involved a thorough review of policies, practices, procedures and operations implemented by Kira Systems to protect the confidentiality of the information analyzed by Kira.

Designed from the ground up with security in mind, Kira has been trusted on hundreds of billions of dollars of transactions, both small and large, to identify critical information hidden in unstructured contract data. Over the course of several years, the Kira Systems team has put in place the technical and procedural restrictions needed to be the solution of choice for the world’s largest law firms, top accounting firms, and Fortune 100 companies.

“Customers trust us with the security and confidentiality of their data. This is a responsibility we take very seriously,” said Michael Raw, Vice President of Technology at Kira Systems.“We are incredibly pleased that, with our SOC2 certification, we can provide our customers with assurance and visibility into the extensive procedures we have implemented to ensure their information is safeguarded.”
